The Ghana League Clubs Association has expressed concern about the Normalisation Committee’s (NC) decision to overturn statues adopted at its last congress to elect the President, Executive Council members and Regional football chairmen of the Ghana Football Association.
A statement by the GHALCA implored the NC to, as a matter of urgency, implement the decision adopted at their last congress
“ We believe strongly that nothing should be done to turn back the clock of progress, bringing to the force the energy, time and resources that went into the organisation of last Extra Ordinary Congress: not to look about the heavy cloud of uncertainty that characterises the last Extraordinary Congress (the first under the auspices of the Normalisation Committee) with FIFA and CAF in attendance” A statement issued and signed by the Chairman of GHALCA, Mr Kudjoe Fianoo stated.
The statement copied to the Premier, Division One and Division Two Clubs said having come a long way it was important for the NC to take a second look at their press release and stick by the decision adopted at their Extra Ordinary Congress on Thursday September 5 to elect members of the Football governing body.
“ With regard to GFA Statute, congress, being the highest decision making body at the GFA, is enjoined by law as the only body to overturn its own decision. It is, therefore, unacceptable for a key decision on the eligibility criteria for selection of our next FA President and Executive Council members and Regional football Association Chairman which was thoroughly discussed and adopted at the last Extraordinary Congress be overturned through your press release” it explained
