Ghana-based American National Football League (NFL) star, Ezekiel “Ziggy” Nana Ansah, has organised a day’s training camp for over 100 students in the Greater Accra Region.
The training, organised at the University of Ghana campus at Legon last Saturday, saw Ansah, together with some renowned NFL coaches, training Ghanaian youngsters on techniques and tactics of playing NFL.
They also went through the techniques of touching down with balls thrown by teammates, as well as some health exercises and disciplines to keep healthy lifestyles.
Among the schools that participated in the training were St John’s Grammar, Presec Boys, West Africa, Ghanata, Frafraha Community and St Thomas Aquinas Senior High Schools, as well as students of the University of Ghana, Legon.
After going through intense training and competing among one another, the Frafraha Community Senior High School emerged winners with 60 points and were awarded with a trophy, medals, Ezekiel Ansah Foundation (EAF) Nike bags, volleyball, basketball, timers and gloves.
St John’s Grammar, who placed second with 50 points, also received, medals, volleyball, basketball, timers and gloves as awards.
The Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School, who came third with 45 points, were awarded with EAF Nike bags, Volleyball, basketball, timers and gloves.
The event also saw Ghanaian musician Pappy Kojo entertaining the participants with some of his hit tracks that kept the participants on their feet.
