The Abeka Adventist Men’s Ministry (AMM) defeated Abeka Community Youth Team 4-3 in the first leg of The Preach the Gospel Across the Globe football encounter at the Tesano Police Training School.

The AMM thrilling football game last Sunday created a platform to use football to engage and spread the gospel among the youth of Abeka.

A hat-trick by Ishmael Mohammed of  Abeka Community Youth  was not  enough to lead his side to victory as a brace by Solomon Teye and a goal each by Desmond Antwi and Francis Asiedu propelled AMM to victory.

The leader of AMM, Mr Sampson Osei-Yaw, who  was pleased with the skillful display of both sides, exhorted them to use available platforms  to spread the gospel  among the youth of Abeka.

“I was excited by the performance of both teams, especially the team from AMM. They played well and managed to win the match. Our core mandate is to spread the gospel around the world to change people’s lives to make a difference in society. Today, we decided to use football to bring the youth of Abeka together so that we interact and spread the gospel while we are exercising and having fun,” Mr Osei-Yaw told the Daily Graphic in an interview.
