Ghanaian international Abdul Rahman Baba will not return to Chelsea for the coming season after his loan deal with Stade Reims came to an end.
The Black Stars defender is contracted to the Blues up to the summer of 2020 but he will leave Stamford Bridge this window as he continues to get back on track in his career after a long lay off.
Graphic Sports Online can exclusively reveal that Olympique Marseille will be Baba's next destination as Le Phonceen are ready to buy him from Chelsea.
Marseille will be playing in the Europa League this coming season and new manager Andre Villas- Boas is in the market to beef up his squad.
The Ghanaian joined Chelsea in 2015 on a five-year deal
Le Phonceen are looking for a left-back to compete with Jordan Amavi for the starting berth and according to close sources, talks have already begun between Baba's representative, Chelsea and Olympique Marseille.
The French giants will pay an amount of 5 Million Euros for the services of the 25-year-old if the talks go on well.
Baba spent the second half of last season on loan at Stade Reims where he made ten Ligue 1 appearances scoring one goal and providing one assist.
He was adjudged the man of the match after netting and creating the last goal in Reims' 3-1 win over Marseille's bitter rivals PSG.
