The youth side of Bechem United made an impressive start to their Dallas Cup competition after mauling The Sports Factory Academy (TSF) 5-0.
Enterprising striker, Hope Avayevu Kodzo secured a hat-trick on the day while Michael Ankomah-Bempong and Razak Abubakar scored one goal each to complete the mauling of the US side.
The Bechem United youth side are in the USA to participate in the Dallas tournament and their first match has motivated them as they go into their subsequent matches.
Avayevu open the scoring for the Ghana side through a spot kick and had another goal disallowed but that could not deter him for adding more goals.
He went on to score two more goals after which Ankomah-Bempong added another and a brilliant free kick from Abubakar seal the day for the Ghanaians.
Elated coach of the side, Freddie Etsiakoh was impressed by the teams heavy victory but wanted to be modest in his celebration because he believes the team can still improve.
He said they would confront the challenge as they come insisting that they would rest after which they would continue with their preparation for the subsequent games.
The hat-trick hero, Avayevu could not hide his joy for scoring three on the day but gave credit to his Coach and teammates for their contribution on the pitch.
Victor Asante who emerged as the match on the day was grateful to God for the honour and called on Ghanaians to support the team.
