Former Chelsea  Coach, Antonio Conte has ruled himself out  from taking over Spanish giants,Real Madrid as manager, explaining that the project is not right for him at the moment.

The Italian who was linked with the role after  Julen Lopetegui was sacked on Monday told  Sky Sports  that he had decided to extend his break from football until the summer.

Lopetegui was relieved of his duties a day after suffering a humiliating 5-1 defeat to Barcelona at the Nou Camp which capped off a run of five consecutive league games without a win.

A day after dismissing Lopetegui, Santiago Solari  was placed in temporary charge of Real .

However, Spanish league rules indicate that the 42-year-old Solari can only manage Real Madrid  only on  interim basis for two weeks, at which point Real must appoint a permanent successor to Lopetegui.

Solari , a former player of Real Madrid whose playing  career ended in 2011, took a two-year break before starting his managerial stint with a job with the Real Madrid U19 team.

He was then promoted to manage the U21 Castilla side ahead of the 2016/17 season, competing in Segunda Division B - the third tier of Spanish football before his appointment on Tuesday.

Conte's contractual obligations with Chelsea after leaving Stamford Bridge stipulated that he could not manage any club in England this season .

He is therefore eligible to manage any club abroad. including Real Madrid , but he has ruled himself out from the job which observers believe he could have made a big impact if he had accepted the challenge.

The Italian who left Chelsea in July  has decided to extend his break from football until the summer before making any move to manage a club.
