Akonnor hands over Kotoko properties

Former Head Coach of  Kumasi Asante Kotoko, C.K Akonnor, has officially rejected his new role at Kotoko after handing over the club’s properties in his custody to the management of the club.

Coach Akonnor who coached the club from October 2018 to July 2019 was appointed as the club’s the technical director  following the appointment of Kjetil Zachariassen as the new head coach.

The Ghanaian trainer left the club after refusing his new role, and on Thursday, officially confirmed his rejection by handing over his  his official car, a Nissan Pathfinder, the keys to his Asokwa residence plus his report to the Greater Accra Representative of the club, Nana Kwame Danquah.

Coach Akonnor enjoyed a successful brief spell with Kotoko as he guided the Porcupine Warriors to the group stages of last season’s CAF Confederation Cup and qualified them to next season’s CAF Champions League organised by the GFA Normalisation Committee Special Competition tier-1.
