Ghana international, Afriyie Acquah, has joined Turkish outfit, Yeni Malatyaspor, on a two-year deal on a free transfer.

Acquah, 27, has completed his move to the Turkish Supalig side after passing his medical on Friday, August 23.

The former Empoli midfielder left the Italia Serie A club after his one year contract expired in June and is expected to join his teammates as soon as possible.

Confirming his signing on Twitter, the Black Stars midfielder wrote “Very excited at joining @YMSkulubu and Turkish football. #Acquah #Malatya”.

The Ghanaian international has spent most of his professional career in Italy having played the likes of Palermo, Parma, Sampdoria, Torino and Empoli.

His only move outside Italy had come in 2013 when he signed on loan to Germany side TSG Hoffenheim where he spent on six months after failing to make any significant impact.
