The senior national team, Black Stars, will have Manchester City U-18 Performance (Video) Analyst, Jermaine Lopia, join the team’s backroom staff for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.

Stars’ coach, Kwesi Appiah, has recommended Lopia who is expected to enhance the technical team ahead of the continental tournament.

Coach Appiah has been preparing feverishly to end Ghana’s 37-year wait for the AFCON title and is keen on improving on his technical team ahead of the campaign.

Lopia has worked with Manchester Metropolitan University and Cheshire Men's First Team prior to joining Manchester City.

However, it will be his first international competition on an African soil and on a bigger stage when the entire continent gathers to slug it out for supremacy.
