Ghana’s super flyweight contender, Manyo Plange, has predicted a knockout win in his upcoming World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Global title fight with Tanzania’s John Chuwa on December 21.

The undefeated Plange is hopeful of winning impressively on the night against Chuwa having watched his opponent’s fights on YouTube and said he was preparing feverishly to come out victorious.

Plange told the Graphic Sports in an interview that fighting for the WBO Global super flyweight title provides him the platform to enter the WBO ratings in order to get a world title shot.

The 31-year-old said he was looking forward to achieving his long-time dream of adding his name to Ghana’s list of world champions and December 31 provides him the mandate to commence his journey towards his quest.

“I have been watching my opponent’s fights on YouTube and I don’t see him having a chance against me. I am hopeful I can knock him out on the night after studying his bouts.

“It is going to be an impressive win against Chuwa and I know that win would propel me to greater heights by making me realise my dream of becoming a world champion,” Plange said.

Plange is set to make his ring return on the Bukom Fist of Fury bill on December 31 seven months after defeating Emmanuel Otoo at the Accra Sports Stadium.

His opponent, Chuwa on the other hand, would come into the ring on a back of a technical knockout victory over William Kianga last November.

Chuwa has however won 18 bouts in 22 fights and would look forward to taking advantage of the platform to snatch the title at stake when he takes on Plange.
