THE Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cabic Promotions, Ivan Bruce Cudjoe, has tipped former WBO bantamweight champion, Isaac Dogboe, to reclaim his title when he fights Mexican Emanuel Navarrete in a rematch for the title in May this year.
Bruce Cudjoe believes Dogboe will come good this time around and outlast his opponent when the two meet again.
“The first bout he was ill-prepared, he took it for granted, he was complacent, I believe he has learnt his lessons and will destroy Navarrete if he is well-conditioned,” he told this paper.
Dogboe, 24, (20-1-0) suffered a shock title loss to the Mexican in a unanimous decision for the World Boxing Organisation World Super Bantamweight Title in December last year.
Bruce-Cudjoe believes the boxer known as the Royal Storm can weather the storm in his rematch and take back his world title; the first lost in his blossoming career.
He, however, admonished the camp of Dogboe to take things seriously and train much harder since Navarrete would not relinquish the title easily.
“They must watch out for Navarrrete, he is a very stubborn boxer, he won’t let go the title easily and Dogboe must be very watchful,” he stated.
The WBO is yet to sanction a date for the rematch.
