Scotland based Ghanaian teenage defender , Ewan Otoo, is  now making  a mark in the Celtic U-18 team as he features regularly and contributing immensely towards the team’s forward march in the Scottish U18 second tier league.

Since the league started a few weeks ago, Otoo, who had been playing consistently either as a left back or central defender, has played in nine out of the 10 league matches, helping the team to win six matches, drew two with only two loses.

With his team perched third on the Scottish U-18 league table with 20 points, Otoo says he is looking forward to “keep progressing as a stalwart defender for the Celtic U-18 side for me to fit well into the next level“

Speaking to the Graphic Sports Online , Otoo noted, “Personally, I have been playing well and looking forward  to progress onto the next level with the reserve squad”.

Adding, he said he had trained with the reserve squad a few times and proved his worth as a pillar in defence and was ,therefore, hopeful to make it regular.

Otoo, who signed a two year contract with Celtic in August, said he would have featured for the Celtic U-18 team in all the 10 league matches played, but missed a match due to a slight injury he sustained.

He said having recovered fully, he was hopeful to maintain his position for the rest of the 20 team league matches currently underway.

According to Otoo,a new coach had taken over the Celtic U-18 football team, but  he had won the heart of the new coach and continuing to make giant strides in all competitive matches he had featured.

“ Even though we have a new coach, he had assigned me the same role as I used to play under our  former coach, and had always been consistent,” he noted.

Describing the Scottish U-18 league as very competitive, he said he was determined to make a mark to  enable him move to the next level of  his career.
