KNUST's tribute to Kofi Annan
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has with deep sorrow the death of Mr. Kofi Annan, a former Secretary General of the United Nations and an alumnus of this prestigious institution
demise in the early hours of Saturday 18th 2018 was received with shock by the university community.
As an institution that trains people to impact the world, we gladly followed the exploits of our iconic alumnus, in his decades of career at the United Nations and were deeply gratified by his historic achievements as an administrator and career diplomat.
His natural disposition for a peaceful world endeared him to humanity. He was an embodiment of patience and humility; an administrator par excellence and a fine gentleman.
The University has lost one of its illustrious alumni whose contribution to have been phenomenal.
The Chancellor, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Council and the entire members of staff and students of KNUST mourn with his wife and family.
