Why are fathers not appreciated the same way as mothers?
These days fathers spend quality time with their family

Why are fathers not appreciated the same way as mothers?

There is a saying that you can pay off the debt of everyone in this world but never of your mother. Why do fathers not get such sayings?

That is because the saying is primarily flawed. We have actually built up a culture where the physical pain of the mother is rated a notch above the sacrifices of the father.

The sacrifices and the pain that a mother and a father endures to raise a child are very different from each other. I feel it’s not fair to compare the two.

In my life I can say that I am in a stage where my cousins are getting married and getting children. The way they freak out, one will think that the world is nearing its apocalypse.

Every time any of my cousins/friends share their worries and burdens to me about their pregnancy I just look at the superwoman sitting near me, most of the times.

My mother gave birth to two kids and raised them and she claims that to be one of the best decisions of her life.

My father used to be the smoker in our family. He had developed this habit from very young and did not listen to my mother when she used to tell him to quit.

When I was around three, I accidently laid hands on his pack of cigarettes and innocently asked him what they were.

That's it. That was the last time he touched those. It takes enormous amounts of will power and love to do this for a baby.

Dads are actually the most underrated people in the whole world.

They are the unsung heroes. It’s just that the world is probably not ready to acknowledge it. And the fathers keep doing their jobs, silently, giving their share of credits also to their wives and making them happy.
