The Valentine’s Day Paint “n” sip event is free of charge for attendees who ought to be at least 18 years and an opportunity to celebrate their love with artistic features painted by themselves as they sip on soothing beverages.

Speaking with Rev. Erskine during an interview on the Y107.9FM’s ‘Myd Morning Radio Show, Eunice Tornyi, the project lead for ‘Paint n Sip’ explained the idea behind the initiative.

“The most beautiful thing about ‘Paint N Sip’ is that it is fun, satisfying, and adventurous and you don’t need any form of experience. My first time was when YFM started it, I had no clue about painting however, there are professional artists who would guide you through the task. You can also choose to create your own task,” she stated.

Eunice Tornyi also revealed the reason for bringing back this initiative saying, “As our name and identity goes, ‘Yearn for more’, we always want to give our audience and listeners something that would make them continue to yearn for us and yearn for more; you just get addicted to YFM. We know that sometimes having a relationship can be very stressful, you want to reignite the spark but then it is not lighting up. You want to try something new and then you don’t know how to present or execute it. You love each other but a lot has accumulated that haven’t been properly dealt with. Certain things haven’t been said, resentments may have built up, playfulness has been neglected and there is a lot we should do but haven’t found the words to express them. Painting is therapeutic and will help participants to get more creative, relax the mind, boost their self-confidence and attitude to persevere, inspire better communication, critical thinking, decision making and so much more.”

"Other side attractions on the night include couples karaoke, knowing me knowing you (couples quiz), poetry, music and dance, giveaways, networking etc. The content of the activities will drive the right questions that will have impact on relationships such as, this is what I want to be appreciated for, when I am upset, I need you to comfort me like this, I am difficult to live with because, what I would like to be forgiven for is…, where I would love you to realize that you hurt me is, a slightly weird thing about me around intimacy is this, as an alternative to intercourse, I would be excited if we could…., my fantasies are...I am embarrassed to admit this but I… , what I am grateful to you for is…, what I miss about you… et cetera".

Interested participants will have to reserve a seat by calling 0202222076 as seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

This year’s edition comes off on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at exactly 5:00 PM at the Accra Mall food court and is supported by Dear Dough.
