Come Saturday, September 30, the Beige Village Golf Resort will come alive as ravers and students party hard at this year’s edition of Wild Invasion.

Dubbed ‘Jamrock Edition,’ this year’s event will see performances from fast rising musician B4Bonah, Darko Vibes, Magnom among others.

Shouts of Victory slated for October

The annual music festival of the Christ Embassy Church in Ghana, Shouts of Victory (SOV), will come off from October 20 - 22 at the forecourt of the Christ Embassy Church in Nungua.

The music outreach, which was instituted four years ago, is aimed at nurturing young music talents and win souls for God at the same time and this year’s edition is bringing together over 30 new musicians under a mentorship programme.

Akwamuman Nhyiamu Kese launched

The Chiefs and People of the Akwamu Traditional Area in the Eastern Region, have been called upon to join hands in showcasing their rich culture to Ghanaians and the international community to promote tourism and development.

The call was made by the Omanhene of the Akwamu Traditional Area, Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III at the launch of the 2017 Akwamuman Nhyiamu Kese (Homecoming) at Akwamufie on Saturday.

Bizung Band, others for Alliance Francaise

United States-based Ghanaian musician, Mohammed Alidu and his Bizung Family Band will perform on Saturday, September 16, at the Alliance Francaise in Accra as part of activities being organised by MusicXchange (MXC) Ghana.

Other groups lined up for the evening include the Africana Dance Ensemble, a band from the Akropong School for the Blind and others who have benefited from projects by MXC Ghana.

New Juaben to honour students at Akwantukese Festival

One thousand and three hundred pupils and students from basic and tertiary institutions in the New Juaben municipality who excelled academically this year are to be honoured at this year’s Akwantukese Festival of the chiefs and people of the New Juaben Traditional Area.

The Daasebre Silver Jubilee awards for excellence will be presented to pupils and students from the 250 primary, junior high schools (JHSs) and senior high schools (SHSs), as well as the two universities, the All Nations University College (ANUC) and the Koforidua Technical University, at the festival on October 28.

‘I Told You So’ adaptation thrills audience

Theatre director and academic, Abdul Karim Hakib’s stage adaption of the classic Ghanaian film ‘I Told You So’, recently brought a pleasant sense of nostalgia to elderly members of the audience during a splendid performance at the Accra International Conference Centre.

With the cast largely comprising students of the School of Performing Arts, University of Ghana at Legon, the play offered useful glimpses into life in Ghana in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
