Slayers get their slot on GhOne
In recent times, there have been talks and competition among celebrities regarding who wore what (slayed) on the red carpet at events.

In view of this, the Slayers Network Group has decided to give fashionistas a face with a new television show called Slayers, to be aired on GhOne Television.
‘Slay’ is a fashion slang that describes someone looking dapper in terms of makeup, accessories and outfit.
According to Maudlyn Arday, who doubles as one of the hosts and Executive Producer of Slayers, the show which will be premiered this Friday at 5.00pm on GhOne
Television, is all about creativity and the need to give a face to the fashion industry.
“Slayers is a platform to influence fashion trends. It will critique fashion trends in the Ghanaian industry and give exposure to new designers and celebrities.
“The show will, from time to time, award creativity among designers and also expose them to the world,” she told Showbiz.
The show’s Executive Producer said she got the idea for the programme from the fact that attending red carpet events has become a big deal in recent times.
“Red carpets have generated public interest. Studying the trend, I can say that a lot of celebrities put in efforts for the red carpet, sometimes they it right and other times they don't.. They forget to consider the occasion so they wear anything. Slayers is here to correct all that.”
“Apart from that, we want to educate the youth on the need to consider their appearance at all times since how they look speaks volumes,” she said.
The show, hosted by Prisca Dede Ayeh and Maudlyn Arday, also has a Social Media Slayer segment that checks random pages on social media for who wore what and if it was worn right.
“It is a show for everyone so people who do not get to the red carpet events but post nice pictures in great outfits will also be celebrated.”
