VIDEO: Meet "Grind Day" hit maker Kwesi Arthur

Young Ghanaian musician Kwesi Arthur is the next big thing in Ghanaian hip-hop music and is currently basking in the glory of his banger; Grind Day.

 
The Tema native had Sarkodie and Medikal on the remix which brought the "trap vibe" song into national consciousness leading to talk of a VGMA unsigned hype appearance on the horizon.
 
Kwesi Arthur who graduated from Tema Senior High School a few years ago spoke to Andrew Tandoh Adote on his Tonight Show on Joy Prime last Sunday.
 
Arthur who showed up wearing an Accra Hearts of Oak jersey revealed that working with Sarkodie blew his mind because it blew his mind.
 
He disclosed that he was unable to continue his education to the tertiary level because he was unable to afford the fees at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
 
He said: “I completed Tema Secondary school and I got admission to GIJ but couldn’t continue due to finances. Anytime they came to school to sack the people who haven’t paid their fees, I got sacked, every term I got sacked. They only time I wasn’t sacked was because they got the names missed up.”
 
Arthur said the hard times made his consider visiting a Mallam to aid him change his fortunes for the better.
 
He also revealed that although he spends a lot of his money on Uber rides, he still hops into a commuter bus (trotro) from time to time.
