NIB boss calls on corporate Ghana to support AMWeF Endowment Fund

The Managing Director of the National Investment Bank (NIB) Dr John Kweku Asamoah, has called on corporate Ghana to support the Endowment Fund for ageing and incapacitated musicians.

He made the call when a group from the Ageing Musicians Welfare Fund (AMWeF) established by the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) visited him to express their appreciation for the bank's support in honoring five Music Heroes at the recent Presidential Grand Ball.

He expressed the belief that corporate Ghana especially the banks would be prepared to offer support for the Fund.

Dr Asamoah noted that the veteran musicians had impacted generations and will continue to do so adding that we still find inspiration in their works.

On his part, MUSIGA President Nice Osei Kuffour aka Obour expressed MUSIGA's appreciation for NIB's continued support for AMWeF and the Presidential Grand Ball.

A.B Crentsil applauded the bank's support for AMWeF, while Nana Kwame Ampadu who is the chairman of the AMWeF executive committee, lauded Dr Asamoah for his magnanimity in supporting their cause.

Present at the meeting were the bank's deputy MD, Alfred George Thompson and Head of Corporate Affairs, Charles Wordey.

Also present were the MUSIGA executives, Rev Dr Thomas Yawson, Chizzy Wailer, Kakra of the Tagoe Sisters, Mrs A.B Crentsil and Ahuma Bosco Ocansey.
