Last Saturday, September 16, Kyei Nwom joined a host of other musicians such as Epixode, Rose Adjei, Oheneba Kissi, Yaw Grey and Ennwai to perform at the Silky Concert held at the HiTabel Restaurant and Sky Bar at Ashaley Botwe in Accra.
According to him, he was amazed at how the crowd received him and sang along with him when he performed songs on his new EP.
These were his words when he spoke to Graphic Showbiz, “I have always looked forward to a day like this where my audiences will cheer me on stage. So last Saturday was fulfilling for me knowing just how much I’ve yearned to see such a day.
“I’m very confident that Mixed Feelings will push my brand and I’m working with my team to promote it well to get the desired results,” he stated.
Mixed Feelings addresses the numerous challenges the youth is facing including financial struggles and lack of opportunities stifling their progress.
It has four songs—Love and Money, Blood and Tears, Party, and Baajo. Fameye was featured on Blood and Tears.
All the songs on the EP were performed and written by Kyei Nwom, produced by Swanzy Beats, mixed and mastered by Eddy Kay Beats and Kofi Cryspher.
Kyei Nwom’s musical career started right after participating in MTN Hitmaker Season 5 in 2016.
He later announced his commercial entry on the music scene when he dropped his debut Damebi produced by 2Bars.
While pursuing a degree in Psychology at the University of Cape Coast, Kyei Nwom was still committed to his music dreams when he joined the Kri8 Highlife band and was also a backup singer for the legendary Hiplife musician Obrafour, who he went on performance tours many times.
After graduation, he released his debut EP, The SOAR in 2021.
