The show, being put together by traditional/cultural dance group, Womba Africa, at Nungua Obenetsoshi in Accra, will also feature highlife artistes  Bessa Simons and Paulina Oduro.

Ben Priest of the late Lucky Dube’s band, Brothers Acrobatic Group and Odai Nmai, a flute player and percussionist from popular cultural group  Wala are also part of the entertainers expected to make the event a memorable one.

Powered by Greater Works Studio, the free admission event scheduled to start at 1pm is designed to erase the wrong perceptions about persons with disability.

In an interview with the Daily Graphic, the Manager and Director of Womba Africa Drumming and Dance Group, Quaye Odai, said his team was driven by a passion to give to the less privileged, especially the disabled.

“Our society doesn’t have the interest of the disabled at heart. They are marginalised in all areas. However, it’s important that we maximise their skills and that is what Womba is seeking to do to let the world know that disability isn’t inability,” he stated.

Among the many personalities expected to grace the event are Elizabeth Afoley Quaye, Minister for Fisheries, and Evelyn Akweley Twum, DCE, Ledzokuku Krowor Municipal Assembly (LEKMA).
