Amy Newman drops Ma Me Nka today
It has been barely three months since renowned gospel singer, Amy Newman released Makoma Ahye Ma in August and she is already set to drop a new song, Ma Me Nka on Thursday, November 2.
Even though Amy Newman is yet to officially drop the song on all digital platforms as she announced on her social media handles, she has been arousing the interest of her followers with the cover art.
According to Amy Newman, her new song intends to bring people to the knowledge of the saving grace as a beneficiary herself.
She mentioned to Graphic Showbiz that many times, gospel musicians fall short of the essence of their roles, giving room to the release of songs that lack spiritual enlightenment.
Just like her previous songs, the sexagenarian is very hopeful that Ma Me Nka will be a source of encouragement to listeners.
“In 89, I got the opportunity to record a song in the studio. When I got to the studio, I did what God wanted me to do. After that, things began to unfold and I saw that there was so much grace upon my life
“I have been doing this for over 30 years and I have always said that Amy Newman doesn’t just compose a song but it is inspired by the presence of God.
“I fasted and prayed to God and He dropped Ma Me Nka so I know this is a good message in these times,” she stated.
Amy Newman started her music career in 1994 and has since won admiration with many songs such as Onu Na Obeye, My Redeemer, My Jesus, Ateasefo, Adom and Me Metsi Biara.
Last year, she released I’m Redeemed which captures her story of how God saved her from mental health problems for years.
“I believe that I went through this to come out stronger. I want to use my new song, I’m Redeemed to encourage others to always seek God in the most desperate moments of their lives,” she said at the time.
