Revive abandoned roads, market projects at Ave
The chiefs said they were looking up to President Mahama to complete those projects in particular to fulfil his campaign pledge to the people.
They are: the President of Ave-Dakpa Traditional Council, Torgbui Nyamekor Glakpe V; the President of Ave-Hevi Traditional Council, Torgbui Adogo Agbalekpor IV; and the President of Ave-Afiadenyigba Traditional Council, Torgbui Gbordzekpor Fianu III.
The rest are the President of Ave-Havi Traditional Council, Torgbui Ahiagbor Gamor IV, the President of Ave-Dzadzefe Traditional Council, Torgbui Dzidenu Zoglo III; and the President of Ave-Dzalele Traditional Council, Torgbui Kwame Dogli III.
Meanwhile, the chiefs also called on President Mahama to nominate the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area (Akatsi North), Peter Nortsu Kotoe, for a ministerial post to enable him to further support the development of the constituency.
They said, for instance, Mr Kotoe served diligently as the MP and Ranking Member on the Education Committee in Parliament for the past eight years and helped to expand educational infrastructure in the constituency. They added that it would be in the broader national interest if he were considered for the post of Minister of Education.
They said Mr Mahama’s resounding victory also testified to the confidence and trust Ghanaians had placed in his vision to guide the nation to prosperity and progress.
“We pledge our unwavering support and commitment to partnering with your administration in the ‘Resetting the Ghana We All Want’ agenda, the statement added.
