Pope Skinny and Shatta Wale one more time
Last year could be described as a good one for hiplife artiste, Pope Skinny with his Hot Cake song which featured Shatta Wale. The song has earned him the Best Collaboration and Reggae/ Dancehall awards at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

After what he calls a successful term with Hot Cake, Pope Skinny is back with another one and he calls this one Wa Shatta Me which again features Shatta Wale.
The rhythm of Pope Skinny’s Wa Shatta Me is not different from his Hot Cake. On Wa Shatta Me which was released last week, both artistes are talking about their ladies who drive them crazy.
While Pope Skinny talks about his lady not being materialistic and praises her as his perfect lady on earth, Shatta Wale rather talks about his lady being responsible. Shatta extols his woman’s virtues and praises her for making him feel like the best husband in the world.
Speaking to Showbiz about his latest single, Pope Skinny said Wa Shatta Me is one of his favourite songs he has ever done.
“I don’t know why I love this particular track so much. I know very well that this song will earn me nominations and even awards at next year’s VGMA. Hot Cake made me proud and I know that Wa Shatta Me will do me more proud. Although it was released recently, I am happy with its public reception which goes to testify that I am doing a good job” Pope Skinny said.
Known for other songs like Ghanaian Girls and Mugu, Pope Skinny is working on his album which should be ready by the end of the year.
“My album will have the best of the best hip life artistes in the country featuring on it. I have already released two songs on the album and I can promise my music lovers that they will love the collection”.
