Nutty Rankin talks betrayal with Suro Nipa

Music has always been one effective channel through which musicians share their stories and experiences and Reggae artiste Nutty Rankin chose no better way to talk about betrayal with his latest single, Suro Nipa.

In Suro Nipa, Nutty Rankin offloads the burden of betrayal he suffers from friends and people he erroneously thinks have his interest at heart.

The song, featuring Assanqoma and produced by Kibhans has Nutty Rankin singing about how the deep secrets he shared with a bosom friend, emerge as topic of discussion among their circle of friends.

He also brings to fore the hypocritical nature of humans and how people should not easily be swayed by smiles since they are most times fake ones.

According to Nutty Rankin, he was encouraged to compose the song after conversations with people on the subject revealed the true nature of people.

“I’ve been through it and people have also shared their stories with me. The biggest pain is to know that the one who should have your back is rather scheming your downfall. Often, people suffer depression from that so I want to use this song to guide listeners on how to handle the situation.

“Though I wish I give more details about my experience on the song, I think what I did is enough for people to have an idea of what I’m communicating. I’m grateful to God for healing and giving me a new beginning,” he stated.

Nutty Rankin revealed to Graphic Showbiz that he is shooting the video for Suro Nipa and it’s expected to drop on November 24.

“Videos have become a very necessary part of music production and I’m on set shooting a video for Suro Nipa. The concept will be very easy to drum home the message,” he stated.

Real name, Isaac Quarshie, Nutting Rankin has been doing Reggae and Dancehall music for a long time. Last year, he released See Dem Coming and disclosed Suro Nipa part of a series of songs on betrayal he is working on.
