BY: Delali Sika

The Miss Malaika22 Emerald contestants in today’s episode will touch on the importance of culture and tourism to the development of a nation.

The activities the ladies will engage in centers on the rich Ghanaian culture, it’s sweet and soothing sound of traditional melodies.

There will also be beating of drums and display of traditional apparels as well as education on why the feet and hands are adorned with colorful beads by some cultures.

In an interview with Alberta Dede Mensah, one of the contestants, she noted that the episode is a very educative one.

“What I can say is that, people should get ready to learn more about Ghanaian foods, where to visit during Christmas, folklore, our music and dance, festivals, our kings and queens, fashion and our historic/tourist sites. Indeed we are a land of many, a land of diverse culture. And diversity they say is the spice of life,” she told Graphic Showbiz.

This episode will air today, Sunday on GHOne TV and Mx24 at 9pm.
