The hard-hitting puncher, who recently signed a three-year promotion and management deal with boxing syndicate, VOK Promotions and Management, said the time was ripe for him to follow his dream.

In an interview with the Daily Graphic after the signing ceremony last Friday, Ashiley explained that he was bent on listening to his coach, which, he believed, would be crucial in achieving his target.

A brother to the Chief Executive Officer of VOK Promotions and Management, James Okwam, who signed the contract on the company’s behalf, noted that they were keen on taking Ashiley to greater heights in his boxing career.

Mr Okwam stressed that his outfit were ready to financially support him to achieve his dream of reigning in the lightweight division.

Ashiley’s trainer, Carl Lokko, who owns and runs the Bronx Boxing Gym in Accra, said with his boxer’s new managers bent on helping him to reach his full potential in the sport, he was ready to ensure good returns for that investment.

Coach Lokko added that their immediate focus would be to challenge for the national title before preparing for the African Championship.
