Zina Asiedu

Zina Asiedu is Miss Heritage Africa

She raised the nation's flag high by beating all contestants from 20 African countries to be crowned as Miss Heritage Africa. With 42 countries and territories participating in the event, Ms Asiedu placed sixth at the global level.

She was crowned the continental queen  based on elements such as her costumes,  stage appearance, performance during the quiz segment and how well she related to other contestants.

Speaking to journalists on arrival, Ms Asiedu said she was humbled by the honours done her and that it was a privilege to represent Ghana at the world stage.

She said one of the stages she enjoyed most during the contest was when she was called upon to tell the world about Ghana.

"I told them that Ghana is a very hospitable country whose citizens are very welcoming and always ready to help foreigners. I told them about our rich culture, the various festivals  we have and generally how unique Ghana is.

" I invited them to come to Ghana to taste our hospitality. In fact, it was an opportunity to sell Ghana," she said.

Ms Asiedu appealed to the corporate world to consider sponsoring the Miss Heritage Ghana to help market the country to the outside world.

The  Miss Heritage pageant, which aims to show the  great values of solidarity, diversity, inclusiveness and cultural awareness, is organised in Ghana by Five Stars Modeling Agency.
