YFM launched in Kumasi
The corporate launch took place at the View Lounge & Bar at Ahodwo last week Saturday.

Speaking at the launch, the Head of Corporate Communications for Global Media Alliance, managers of YFM, Ms. Naomi Nelson, said her outfit was excited about bringing to the people of Kumasi “a new experience of urban radio”.
“We are here today and proud to officially add Kumasi to our growing brand. The launch of YFM in Kumasi marks the beginning of an exciting journey for us in the Garden City and we appreciate the reception so far,” she stated.
The launch was climaxed with an outdoor musical concert, Y Invasion, at the Republic Hall of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) on Sunday.
There were performances by artistes such as Stonebwoy, Bisa Kdei, hiplife duo, Gallaxy, and Okomfo Kwaadee.
The station is a youth-oriented network that has contributed significantly to the vibrancy and growth of the music industry in Ghana since its inception and they are expected to repeat the feat in Kumasi.
YFM is known for its collection of young and vibrant DJs and presenters and exciting programmes such as Ryse N Shyne, with Ms Naa, the Mid Morning Show with Sammy Forson, Y Lounge with Caroline, and the Y Camoua Xpress with Joel.
The station also provides quality entertainment to listeners off air through its events such as Loud in GH, Area Codes Jam, and Y Hood Games.
