Wulomei to rock at African Legends Night

The band will be performing at the 7:00pm event alongside ace Highlife artistes, Daddy Lumba and Kojo Antwi as well as celebrated Dancehall artiste, Samini.

Founded in 1973, Wulomei has been doing indigenous Ga music with Atenteben bamboo flutes and traditional local percussions that include the giant gome frame drums, which provide a deep percussive “bass-line”.

The group is expected to captivate guests with their popular songs such as Aklowa, Kaagba, Jalelele, Meridian, Takoradi, Menye Menye Menye and Akosua Serwa.

Meanwhile, Samini has assured guests of a great show being the first Reggae/Dancehall artiste to feature on African Legends Night. He will perform some of his great tunes such as Odo, Linda, Gyae Shi, My Own, among others.

With an exciting and successful musical career spanning over two decades, Kojo Antwi has established himself as a Highlife legend and with a collection of hit songs such as Mmrika, Adiepena, Tom & Jerry, Adinkra among others, it will be lit for lovers of Kojo Antwi’s music.

Daddy Lumba isn’t new to the regular patrons of the African Legends Night. He was one of the performers last year and his great showmanship must have earned him another call up this year.

The show, according to the organisers Global Media Alliance, was expected to attract thousands of music lovers and would feature other up and coming musicians.

Last year, it witnessed great performances from headline artiste, Kanda Bongo Man of DR Congo, Amakye Dede, Ackah Blay, eShun and Nana Yaa.
