When MTN Culturefest went to Odwira

There was, however, a more contemporary feel to events as telecommunications company, MTN,  through its Culturefest programme, organised an  Internet Carnival where pretty ladies took to the streets to help solve all data/internet problems free of charge.

The MTN presence was also strongly felt at the special village, Akuapem Grill where artistes such as Naterial and Koo Ntakara, deejays and local comedians entertained festival-goers, many of whom were tourists. 

“I have been to Ghana a few times but it was my first time at Akuapem Odwira and I had a great time at the MTN Village,” said Marilyn Daniels, a tourist from Australia. 

The entertainment factor stretched to the football field where MTN organised a  community  gala contest for men, as well as women’s teams.

An official from the MTN Events Department also pointed that with Akuapem Odwira over; the Culturefest train will move to a few other regions to support and participate in some more traditional festivals before the year ends.
