Team effort made show succeed
It was evident that a lot of work had been done to put the show together.

“The work was done by a professional team made up of creative directors, choreographers, drama directors and other multimedia people,” an excited Okyeame Kwame told The Mirror in an interview on Wednesday.
He said though he played the lead role, he was grateful to everyone who had anything to do with the programme because without them, nothing would have worked.
“A lot of people have called to congratulate me on the success of the show. I am excited about that because it means they enjoyed it but I would say the show was successful because members on the team were amazing.
If the general public continues to patronise such events, we would be encouraged to do more. A major challenge for such shows is sponsorship. We have the talents so with a little push, we would be able to do better,” he added.
Okyeame Kwame said by popular request, the show would be repeated at the National Theatre on December 21. It would then move to other regional capitals to enable more people have a feel of it.
Titled ‘The Beggars’, this year’s show fused music, poetry, dance, magic and comedy to produce an exciting yet informative piece that thrilled the audience throughout the night.
Apart from Okyeame Kwame, other stars who mounted the stage included Adjetey ‘Pusher’ Anang, Ecow Smith-Asante, Roland Adom, Wanlov the Kubolor, Benjamin Kwadey, Adina, Samini, Keche and Praye Eugene (Choir Master).
Okyeame Kwame played the role of a pimp while Ecow Smith-Asante was the deceptive politician. Roland Adom was the corrupt police officer while Adjetey Annan and Benjamin Kwadey were beggars.
