South African Jazz comes to Accra
It will be a night to celebrate South African Jazz and various shades of African sounds.
The singer will be accompanied by pianist and scholar, Phuti Sepuru and a rhythm section of Frank Kissi (drums), Bright Osei (bass), Bernard Ayisa (tenor saxophone) and Victor Dey Jnr. (additional keyboards).
Repertoire for the 9:00pm programme will comprise Mihi's latest compositions as well as songs from Jazz composers like Themba Mkhize and Lira.
Victor Dey Jnr. has played gigs in South Africa recently and he said it was a progressive move for Ghanaian and South African Jazz musicians to interact and share ideas.
