A blend of both traditional and contemporary gospel music was what patrons were fed with by the host artiste, Bernard Amankwah, Alabaster Box and Cynthia Appiadu, the lead singer of Daughters of Glorious Jesus.

The show which was expected to begin at 5: 00 pm started an hour after the advertised time with an open act by the Kid Ministry. They thrilled the audience with their play of the trumpets to the admiration of all. Their performance set the tone for an expectant evening.

Backed by the Presence Ministry Choir, gospel artiste, Bernard Amankwah, led the patrons through a time of praise from his repertoire of songs. He performed songs such as Thank You Lord, Mercy and His Presence.

The all male gospel a capella group, Alabaster Box, was once again at their best with a splendid delivery on stage.  The quartet just knew how to thrill patrons with their style.

Their more than 20 minutes performance no doubt endeared them to many present. Their unique way of producing sounds of indigenous instruments like the xylophone with their mouths got the patrons applauding throughout their performance.

Cynthia Appiadu of Daughters of Glorious Jesus was next to hit the stage and she gave a good account of herself as well. She got the audience to sing along many of the group’s well known songs such as Jesus and King, Menya Anigye, Onakwafo Nyame, Yesu and Ewurade.

A time of worship led by Bernard Amankwah and performances by Tyra Mameabena Asiedu and TV Presenter, Ekuba Yankey, crowned an evening of praise and worship at this year’s Celebration of His Grace show.

The show which is in its seventh year has since its inception served as the platform to bring together Christians and lovers of gospel music for a time of praise and worship.

This year’s show was graced by the Deputy Minister of Arts, Culture and Creative Arts, Dzifa Gomashie, the former coach of the Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah, and some “senior” gospel artistes including Stella Aba Seal and Diana Hopeson.

The sponsors for this year’s show were Innolink, Special Ice, Enovate and IFS.
