Men take over the kitchen at food bazaar
Some of the food prepared by the men included banku and grilled tilapia, ampesi and palava sauce, vegetarian fried rice, akple and ademe soup, jollof rice, fried yam and fish, kokonte and groundnut soup, omotuo, gari fotor as well as tuo zaafi.

It was all fun as the culinery skills of the men were judged by a female panel of judges made up of Mrs Juliana Fynn, Mrs Patricia Mettle-Nunoo and Mrs Olivia Bruno.
At the end of a two hour cooking contest, the men from Tema Christan Center AG Church, Community 12 emerged winners. The second place went to the Grace Pentecostal AG Church, Community 3 while Trinity Temple AG Church from Community 10 came third.

Rev. Nissi Kwodwo Diafo Joseph, Tema District Pastor of the AG Church in an interview said the objective of the event was to foster unity among church members.
“ It is also to offer a platform for networking opportunities, promote unity among families and to give the men in the church opportunity to exhibit their cooking skills.”
He said the activity was the brainchild of his predecessor, Rev, David Nabegmado who proposed the need for members of the AG church in the Tema area to come together to fraternise and fortify family bonds.
He expressed appreciation to the participating churches and their leaders for working so hard to prepare the scrumptious meals.
Serious cooking time
He said by holding the cooking contest for the men, it will send a message to the young ones that in marriage, couples should help each other, stressing that marriage is all about teamwork.
He advised members of the Mens Ministry of the Church to extend the cooking activity as well as other chores to their homes by assisting their spouses
"Once in a while, the men should take over the kitchen to prepare meals for their family members," he said.
