This maiden edition of the ‘Women in Worship’ concert will be headlined by Ntokozo Mbambo from South Africa who is making her second visit to Ghana. She’s well known for songs like Jehovah Is Your Name, Dawning Of A New Day, Because He Lived in Me among others.

Fresh off her ‘Tehillah Experience’ Concert and celebrating her 40th birthday, Ohemaa Mercy will be among the performers at the concert. Other artistes on the bill are Diana Hamilton, Tagoe sisters, Naa Mercy, Cynthia Macauley, Becky Bonney and Rev. Mouha Amoako.

Ohemaa Mercy tells the Daily Graphic why she signed up for the event. “Apart from the mission of inspiring people through music, I think this concert is a laudable initiative because it has the larger interest of seeking the welfare of women. This should be the call of every Christian woman and I’m happy to be part of the Women in Worship concert,” she said.

The Women in Worship initiative is also partnering the Cervical Cancer Centre at Battor in the Volta Region for a sensitisation and nationwide screening exercise to educate women on the dangers of cervical cancer.

The Women in Worship Concert will start at 4PM.
