Events
Among the people were the physically-challenged, the aged, the youth and children, including foreigners.
The 16th edition of the programme, which was held on the theme: “Destined to rise,” was sponsored by the Graphic Communications Group Limited and other corporate institutions.
For hours, gospel lovers were on their feet singing and dancing alongside the various artistes to the glory of God.
Performances
The guest artiste, Mr Kurt Carr, an internationally-recognised gospel singer from Connecticut, USA, and his band thrilled the audience with some of his praise tunes such as “I Almost Let Go”, “Something Happens”, “Jesus Reigns”, and “God Great God.”
He intermittently paused to share with the audience testimonies of his personal experience with Jesus Christ and encouraged them to trust in the Lord.
The audience was also treated to danceable tunes from renowned Ghanaian gospel artistes, Daughters of Glorious Jesus.
The Harvest Gospel Choir, Yaw Antwi-Dadzie, Cynthia McCauley and Rev Nana Folson also performed to make the day a memorable one.
Sermon
In a sermon, the President of the Harvest International Ministries, Rev. Fitzgerald Odonkor, urged Christians to be steadfast in the midst of challenges just as Jesus Christ endured hardship for the sake of mankind.
“We have to remind ourselves that it is impossible for our situation to hold us down because we are destined to rise,” he said.
The Harvest Praise
Harvest Praise is a gospel outreach programme held every year by the Harvest International Ministries to commemorate Easter.
The programme seeks to put the focus of Easter on Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for the redemption of mankind.
