Ghanaian in Africa’s Next Top Model contest

Ghanaian model, Roselyn Ashkar, is among the 12 supermodel hopefuls selected from across Africa and in Cape Town at the moment to prove they have what it takes to make it in the cut-throat world of modelling. She was chosen after auditioning in Accra last July.

Roselyn has a superb physique and striking good looks and pundits say she has a chance of winning the competition.

The girls did not even have a chance to settle down when they arrived in Cape Town.  Their first challenge was a transformation by international style guru, Carl Isaacs, which left some of the models unimpressed with their new look.

Roselyn and her colleagues were thrown in at the deep end with their first assignment: a video shoot for the opening sequence for the contest.

Judge and photographer, Remi Adetiba, directed the ladies for the shoot. At the end of it,  four girls had to stand before supermodel Oluchi for elimination. Two of them, Steffi from Kenya and Marwa from Tunisia, were sent home.

Next week, the girls will get a taste of the jet-set life of supermodels as they fly to Johannesburg for their first fashion show.

Africa’s Next Top Model enjoys sponsorship from South African Tourism.
