Kojo Antwi promises intimate Dec 24 show
“PREPARE to be amused, serenaded, amazed and celebrated.”
That’s how the Music Maestro, Kojo Antwi, is touting his 2018 December 24 concert scheduled for the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
Guest acts on the night will include Kofi Kinaata, Dela Botri and some surprise ones.
The Maestro has consistently presented his pre-Christmas bash since 1991, with only a couple of interruptions.
Most of the shows happened at the National Theatre but they have recently come off in smaller, enclosed places.
“I love the closeness one feels to the audience in those smaller venues. You don’t appear like a star far removed from his fans in the smaller halls. There is a sort of affectionate interaction there, whether it is Kempinski or Labadi Beach Hotel,” the singer said.
He was on a successful American tour in August and featured at the African Legends Night programme in Accra in September. He has since been preparing for the December 24 affair.
Another show is planned for the Miklin Hotel, Kumasi, for December 26. Samini is one of the performers for that bash.
Kojo Antwi is an established crowd-puller and his legion of fans always look forward to top-notch appearances from him.
They know that whether the song is Dadie Anoma, Adiepena, Mr Music Man, Odo Maayea, Akonoba, Ammrika, Rocklyn, Bome Nkomode, Mfa Me Koho, Adinkra or Asaboni, the Maestro will always deliver to their satisfaction.
