Easter Comedy Show on April 20

The Event Factory-powered show will not deviate from its formula of mixing comedy and music to give patrons a great time.

Comedians on the bill this year are Waris and O.B Amponsah from Ghana; Hogan, Akpororo and Senator from Nigeria, with Mpho Popps from South Africa, while musicians who will be performing are KiDi, Akwaboah and the Patchbay Band.

In an interview with the Daily Graphic, the CEO of Event Factory, Nabil Alhassan, said: “Comedy shows are not only for mothers and fathers or grannies — they’re universal and a recommended therapy for young people.

“This year, we want to get younger people to come to the show, that's why we have a top performer like Mpho Popps, a guy who uses rap to tell jokes to young people."

He indicated that everything was on course for the show. “We always go in for the best and our outfit is promising another fantastic comedy show come April 20 at the AICC,” he said.

Akpororo, who is no stranger to Ghanaian comedy lovers, expressed excitement at coming back to perform for his Ghanaian fans.

"I miss my Ghana people and I want to tell all of them to meet me at the venue on Saturday, April 20 for the laugh of their lives. This time I want to meet fans and interact with them so I want everybody to get their tickets and come," he told the Daily Graphic.

O.B Amponsah, who is a medical doctor cum comedian, will host this year’s Easter Comedy Show.
