He said entries for the award opened a month ago and contesters were asked to submit a minimum of five and a maximum of 10 images to participate in the competition.

Throwing light on the award scheme, Mr. Okyere said for Photography, the categories are Photojournalist of the Year, Advertising Photographer of the Year, Portrait Photographer of the Year, Nature and Wildlife Photographer of the Year.

“The rest are Still Llife Photographer of the Year, Social Events Photographer of the Year, Online Photographer of the Year and Corporate Events Photographer of the Year.

“ In the Videography segment, some of the categories include Video Journalist of the Year, Advertising Videographer of the Year, Portrait Videographer of the Year, Nature and Wildlife Videographer of the Year.

“There are also Social Events Videographer of the Year, Corporate Events Videographer of the Year, Celebrity Videographer of the Year and Discovery of the Year”, he said.

Mr Okyere said a jury of eminent persons will choose winners from among the first-place winners of all the categories and they will be honoured at the main event scheduled for December this year.
