Dumelo joins Facebook Waakye Walk in Ho
Organised by events company, Smatel Consult in Ho, the walk which lasted for about three hours had a huge patronage from the residents of Ho and its environs. In attendance was award winning actor, John Dumelo who spiced up the event with his presence.

The walk commenced from the Volta Regional Hospital (otherwise known as Trafalgar) and went through Ho-Dome, Ho central market (Asigame), Ray Makossa traffic, Civic Centre, K.K. House and the Ahoe roundabout.
The walk ended at the Ho Polytechnic park where patrons were taken through some aerobic sessions. After this exercise, they had a waakye feast amidst back-to-back music from DJ Karanja, one of the renowned disc jockeys in Ho.
A member of the organising team, Elvis Bomassah told Showbiz the walk was organised to give social media users the opportunity to keep fit as well as interact and socialise with their friends from the various social media platforms.
He said the advent of new media like Facebook has provided the platform for people to make friends but the friendship has been restricted because there were no physical contacts, as such, the walk was organised to serve the purpose.
“This is the purpose of the Facebook Waakye Walk, for friends to meet one another outside the social media world,” he said.
The 2016 Facebook Waakye Walk was supported by Tigo, Bonecstasy Images, DottyYard Records, Fali's Fruit Bay, Etty's Sobolo and Airlly Events.
