DJ Black & co rock Smirnoff Jungle Rave Party

Even though the main purpose of the event was to officially announce the Smirnoff Double Black Ice, a new product of Guinness Breweries Ltd(GBL), the event turned out to be a concert with great performances from Joey B, VGMA New Artiste of the Year and MzVee, the VGMA Unsung Artiste of the Year.

Joey B thrilled the audience with songs from his repertoire which include hit songs such as Cigarette, Tonga and Vera.

MzVee also “charged” the audience with her great stage craft as her fans sang along some of her well known songs like Borkor Borkor, Dancehall Queen, Natural Girl and Revolution.

As if these two were not enough, patrons were treated to more fun when the hottest deejay in Ghana currently, DJ Black of Joy FM, took his place behind the turntables. He dished out both local and foreign songs which got the audience who were already in a party mood on the dance floor throughout the period.

From evergreen highlife to hiphop, DJ Black who was in his element just knew the right music to liven up the moods of the patrons.

Aside music, patrons were engaged in many recreational activities such as Limbo, Double Side Maze, Ice Dip and Double Dice Board Game. There was also a competition dubbed, Crown Mine where participants were engaged in a game to search for crown tops of the new Smirnoff Double Black Ice drink. The winners were presented with prizes.

Head of Innovations and Marketing Manager of Spirits of GBL, Solange Kuimo, said, “It is fulfilling as a brand to bring together young adults to have fun responsibly. It has been a wonderful party. Smirnoff is passionate about exciting its consumers in a unique way by making good times better for them and today has been no exception”.

She also talked about “The Smirnoff Double Side” campaign which she said is aimed at giving young adults the opportunity to break free from their typical lifestyles.
