Past editions have featured Ivorian Freddy Meiway, South Africa’s Yvonne Chaka Chaka. Hugh Masekela, Nigeria's Femi Kuti, George Darko, Amakye Dede, Ben Brako, Steve Bedi and many others.
Speaking in an interview with Showbiz, Ms Emma Wenani, Director at Global Media Alliance(GMA), organisers of the event said the artistes for this year’s concert have been kept as a surprise to whet the appetite of patrons.
“We will unveil the artiste on bill in a couple of days but for now we want to keep it as secret” she said
She added that "We believe in African talent, and music forms a key part. It is for this reason that we at GMA celebrate the originality and rhythms from the continent with authentic music.
“ With African Legends Night we honour musicians who have put Africa’s rich culture and heritage in the global space,” she added.
