Total announces finalists for ‘startupper’ challenge

Total Petroleum Ghana Ltd has announced the 10 finalists shortlisted in its “StartUpper of the Year” challenge launched late last year.

The finalists were selected from hundreds of applicants who applied to compete in the challenge by a jury.

The applicants selected to go through the next phase of the competition included  Ms Salma Abdulai, Mr Prince Amaniapong, Mr Ebenezer Annoh, Mr Joshua Ayinbora, and Mr Prince Boadu.

Others are Mr Dominic Kepomey, Ms Eunice Owusu-Karikari, Mr Nana Gyan Quaicoe, Mr Daniel Quaicoe Jnr, and Mr Yakubu Yusuf.

The finalists must now confirm their willingness to remain in the competition after which they will receive a one-week intensive coaching to help them prepare for their oral presentations before the jury.

Three finalists will be the eventual winners of the challenge in Ghana.

They will receive  financial  aid  to  develop  their  project,  as  well  as  customised  support  and  coaching  from Total Petroleum Ghana Ltd.

All the finalists will, however, be honoured at an official awards ceremony.

The Startupper of the Year challenge by Total is being held in 34 African countries.

It forms part of Total’s overall policy  of  supporting  the  socio-economic  development  of  all  its  host  countries  worldwide.

It is aimed at strengthening the industrial base and employment opportunities in the participating countries by helping the boldest and most innovative entrepreneurs carry out their projects.
