Three pharmaceutical companies donate to Kaneshie Polyclinic
Three pharmaceutical manufacturing companies, Dannex, Ayrton Drugs and Starwin limited, have donated some pharmaceutical products worth GHS 20,000 to the Kaneshie Polyclinic.
The products included Floxa Suspension, Alazole 400mg, Samalin Syrup and Haemoglobin Syrup.

Aside from the donation, the companies also embarked on a cleanup exercise, painting and carpentry work of the maternity and labour wards of the polyclinic.
The Chief Corporate Officer of the three companies, Mr Kwasi Yirenkyi, said: “Dannex, Ayrton and Starwin, three pharmaceutical manufacturing companies which are in the process of merging to form one giant local manufacturing company have teamed up to embark on this project.”
“We are certainly aware of the challenges faced by the polyclinic and we in the health care business thought it was appropriate to offer some assistance to alleviate such challenges.
“We can assure that this is not going to be the end. We will continue to partner with them to ensure that the facility is world-class", he noted.
Mr Yirenkyi added that Kaneshie Polyclinic was chosen because of its closeness to the companies and that it would be the shortest stop for members in the area to seek medical care.

The Head of Pharmacy for Kaneshie Polyclinic, Mrs Winifred Lamprey, expressed gratitude to the pharmaceutical companies for coming to their aid.
She said the clinic sometimes faced situations where patients who were not on the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) were unable to afford some medications prescribed for them.
She added that the drugs donated to them would go a long way to help patients with financial challenges.
"With these products, we would be able to provide some drugs to patients for free", she noted.
