Teacher wins ‘The power of 250 reloaded’

A teacher at the Islamic Senior High School in Kumasi, Mr Suleiman Zachariah, has emerged as the winner of the ultimate prize in “The power of 250 reloaded” organised by Societe Generale (SG) Ghana.

For his prize, Mr Zachariah received GH¢125,000.

The draw was the final of a two-phased campaign which took place from May to August and from September to December respectively.

In a brief speech, Mr Zachariah said he was saving to enhance his finances and not for the purpose of the prize, which he described as “amazing.”

He commended SG Ghana for the promotion and entreated all to adopt the habit of saving to enhance their finances.

Other cash prize winners were Benjamin Amanor and Reuben Larbi who received GH¢10,000 and GH¢30,000 respectively.

At the event, the Deputy Managing Director of SG Ghana, Mr Francois Marchal, explained that the promotion was to reward loyal customers, encourage as well as to instil the habit of saving in Ghanaians.

He said 50 per cent of Ghanaians had not developed the culture of saving and that explained why the bank organised the promotion.

While commending all customers who participated in the campaign, he urged them to maintain a strong culture of saving.
