Starlife pays GH¢10,000.00 on family protection plan

A Life insurance company, StarLife Assurance, has paid an amount of GH¢10, 000.00 as claims to Madam Amadu Alimata under a Family Protection Claim.

The payment was made at the Wa Municipal Assembly, after the passing of Madam Alimatu’s husband in late May.

The policyholder, Madam Alimata, signed on to the company’s flagship life solution in June 2012, in which she opted for the basic cover which provides a comprehensive cover of GH¢32,500.00,made up of death benefit for herself and the husband, total and permanent disability benefit, critical illness, child disability and retrenchment.

Presenting the cheque to Madam Alimata,the Branch Manager, Mr George Dabirima, reiterated the significance of life insurance and the need for all breadwinners to have life insurance for themselves and their families against inevitable life contingencies.

Madam Alimata expressed satisfaction at the smooth processing of the claim  and urged all to join the StarLife Family to enjoy the new definition of Life Assurance. She promised to use the money to further her children’s education and use part to complete a building project.

The head of Business Development at StarLife, Mr Iddrisu Nashiru, reassured the insuring public of the company’s commitment to its obligations.

He mentioned that “when we say we pay genuine claims promptly, we truly mean what we say; when we say we bring smiles to those grieving, it’s a job we love doing; when we say we provide renewed hope to our clients, it’s their right and a must have and not a promise’’.

Present at the event were some selected heads of institutions in the Wa municipality, a cross-section of the media and family members of the claimant.
