Nsoatreman Rural Bank gives to six students

The Nsoatreman Rural Bank Limited at Nsoatre  in the Brong Ahafo Region has presented a scholarship package worth GH¢10,800 to six brilliant, needy students.

The package is to enable the beneficiaries, who were selected from the bank's operational areas,  to pursue their three-year senior high school (SHS) education.

 The bank's operational areas are Sunyani, Nsoatre  Wenchi, Techiman, Jinijini, Chiraa and Yamfo.  

Speaking at a brief ceremony at the bank's head office to present the scholarship package, the General Manager of the bank, Mrs Agnes Intsiful,  said the bank instituted the scholarship scheme in 1995 to support brilliant, needy students in  its operational areas and indicated that some of the beneficiaries had graduated from tertiary institutions and were now in gainful employment.

The general manager of the bank pledged that the bank would continue to undertake social responsibility activities in the areas it operated to help improve the standard of living of the people.

The Board Chairman of the bank, Mr Kofi Agyeman, who presented the package to the beneficiaries said the bank had presented 150 bags of cement and six packets of roofing sheets to the Sacred Heart SHS at Nsoatre and a similar donation to Chiraa SHS as part of its social responsibility. 

He said the bank had also donated dustbins to the various municipal and district assemblies in its areas of operation, and added that the bank had also supported Jinijini and Yamfo towns in the Berekum municipality and Tano North District respectively in their streetlight  projects.
