The General Manager (GM) of the Accra City Hotel (ACH), Mr Roman Krabel, has commended the government for educating hoteliers on security.

He said the National Security outfit had, after the terrorist attack in Burkina Faso, engaged managers of hotels on their security alertness and expressed the hope that the surveillance would be sustained.

Mr Krabel made the commendation during a reception for its clients in Accra last Friday.

The event was to unveil the new name Accra City Hotel.

For the past 25 years the hotel had been known as Novotel Hotel.

The Four-Star hotel, he said, was an ideal place to do business and engage in all kinds of leisure.

Facilities

“The hotel provides Wi-Fi Internet and six meeting rooms for business travellers. It also features a bar, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, a business centre, on-site parking and a tennis court,” he added.

With its extra renovation works in progress, Mr Krabel said, “clients should expect nothing but the best”.

Novotel (now ACH) was a mid-scale hotel brand within the Accra Hotels Group, typically slotting between the Mercure and Pullman brands.

Novotel has close to 400 hotels and resorts in 60 countries worldwide.

Mr Krabel said the hotel was now owned by Ghanaians, hence the new name Accra City Hotel.
